Recently I was clearing out the book shelf (Yes I read physical books as well as e-books) and found a journal my dad had written back in 1932. I thought now why hadn’t I followed his lead?

I guess that was a side of my dad I never got to know and I did not come into the picture until 1939. ...continue reading "Personal Journal Writing"

Greetings, my name is Barry although years go I was called Barney because the cook at small restaurant I stopped at for breakfast on the way to work did not wear her glasses. At that time I wore a work shirt with my name and she thought it said Barney. Until I started dating her sister they always called me Barney. Her sister became my best friend and wife of thirty-one years, Judy.

I retired from the cabinet manufacturing industry in 2005 and tried my hand at massage therapy. Became to much for my hands so did not pursue that career, after a short time.

Two years ago I was in a Bible reading rut. I would read a passage of Scripture and not understand its meaning. While we were ‘snow birds’ in Florida we went shopping at an outlet mall in Saint Augustine. As was our normal procedure the wife, and I split up to do our individual shopping. I finished before she did and I went to the food court to read. I noticed four men at a table and they each had a Bible open along with another book. They were in deep discussion.
